Browsing information pursuant to Art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679

SPS S.r.l. (hereinafter "the Company"), a company belonging to the Var Group S.p.A., with registered office in Via Antonio Zanolini 36 AB, 40126 Bologna, VAT no. 04222630370, wishes to inform users of the terms and conditions applied by the Company to the processing operations performed on their personal data.

In particular, the information is provided in relation to the personal data of users who proceed to consult and use the Company's website, which corresponds to the following domain: https://www.statisticsfordataanalysis.com/

The Company acts as "Data Controller", meaning "the natural or legal person, public authority, service or other body which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data".

Specifically, personal data may be processed by persons specifically authorised to process the personal data of users and, to this end, duly instructed by the Company.

         In application of the legislation on the processing of personal data, users who consult and use the Company's website assume the quality of "interested parties", meaning the natural persons to whom the personal data being processed refer.

Please note that the information does not extend to other websites that users may consult through links, including Social Buttons, on the Company's website.

In particular, Social Buttons are digital buttons or direct links to Social Network platforms (such as, by way of example, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube), configured in each button.

By clicking on these links, users will be able to access the Company's social accounts.

The managers of the Social Networks, to which the Social Buttons refer, act as autonomous Data Controllers; consequently, all information relative to the modalities through which the said Data Controllers carry out the processing operations on the personal data of the users can be found in the relative Social Network platforms.

 

1. Personal data subject to processing

In view of the interaction with this website, the Company may process the following personal data of users:

a. Navigation data: during normal operation, the computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified interested parties, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with personal data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of personal data includes IP addresses or the domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and computer environment. This personal data is used only to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to check that it is functioning correctly.

Browsing data is not retained for longer than (12 months), except in the case of criminal investigations by judicial authorities.

b. Personal data provided voluntarily: the optional, explicit and voluntary transmission of personal data to the Company, by filling in the forms on the website, entails the acquisition of the email address and all other personal data of the users requested by the Company in order to comply with specific requests.

2. Purpose and legal basis of the processing of personal data

With regard to the personal data referred to in point 1), letter a) of this information notice, the personal data of users are processed, automatically and "obligatorily", by the Company in order to allow them to browse the website; in this case, the processing is carried out on the basis of a legal obligation to which the Company is subject, as well as on the basis of the Company's legitimate interest in ensuring the proper functioning and security of the website; therefore, the express consent of users is not required.

With regard to the personal data referred to in point 1), letter b) of this statement, the processing is carried out in order to provide information or assistance to users; in this case, the processing is based on the execution of specific requests and the fulfilment of pre-contractual measures; therefore, the express consent of the users is not necessary.

3. Nature of the provision of personal data

Without prejudice to what has been specified for navigation data, for which the provision of such data is obligatory as it is instrumental to the navigation of the Company's website, users are free to provide or not to provide personal data in order to receive information or assistance from the Company.

4. Modalities and duration of personal data processing

The processing of personal data is carried out by persons authorised to process personal data, specifically identified and instructed for this purpose by the Company.

The processing of users' personal data is carried out through the use of automated tools with reference to access data to the pages of the website.

In any case, the processing of personal data takes place in full compliance with the provisions aimed at guaranteeing the security and confidentiality of personal data, as well as, among other things, the accuracy, updating and relevance of personal data with respect to the purposes stated in  this information.

Notwithstanding the fact that the navigation data referred to in point 1, letter a) do not persist for more than 12 months, personal data are processed for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected or, in any case, according to the deadlines provided for by law.

It should also be noted that the Company has adopted specific security measures to prevent loss, unlawful or incorrect use of personal data and unauthorised access to such data.

5. Recipients of personal data

Limited to the purposes identified in this statement, your personal data may be communicated in Italy or abroad, within the territory of the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), for the fulfilment of legal obligations.

Personal data shall not be transferred outside the territory of the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA).

6. Rights under Articles 15, 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21 of EU Regulation 2016/679

Users, as data subjects, will be able to exercise their rights of access to personal data as provided for in Article 15 of the EU Regulation and their rights as provided for in Articles 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21 of the EU Regulation concerning the rectification, erasure, restriction of processing of personal data, data portability, where applicable, and opposition to the processing of personal data.

7. Data Protection Officer

It should be noted that SeSa S.p.A., the holding company of the business group to which the Company belongs by virtue of its shareholding in Var Group S.p.A., has appointed a Personal Data Protection Manager. The Personal Data Protection Manager monitors compliance with the regulations on the processing of personal data and provides the necessary advice. Furthermore, where necessary, the Personal Data Protection Manager cooperates with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
