“How to choose a statistical test”:
SPS will talk about it during the webinar on May 6th at 10.30!

Any study that involves the collection of a sample of data has as its objective the possibility of extending the results to a larger population. During the webinar we will be suggested how to do it correctly, thanks to examples with the Statistics Solution powered by SPSS

Bologna, 29 April 2020 - StPS, historical protagonist of the world of Statistical Analysis, is planning a new webinar where  will provide an overview

on the choice lines of a statistical test.

Objectives of the Webinar How to choose

a statistical test

with Statistics for Data Analysis

Objective of the presentation of6 May at 10.30

sarà di mostrare le tecniche per scegliere in maniera appropriata un test statistico, attraverso Statistics for Data Analysis_cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_power by SPSS.

As usual, practical examples of some of the best known statistical tests, both parametric and non-parametric, will be shown.

Topics of the webinar will therefore be:

✔️Parametric tests

✔️Nonparametric tests

✔️Comparison between parametric and non-parametric tests

Participation in the webinar on May 6 is free!

Enough to participatecomplete the formpresent in the dedicated area of the SPS website.
SPS is preparingthe appointment also on LinkedIngradually sharing information.

🎓 The rapporteur

The webinar will be held by Arianna Azzellino, professor ofPolitecnico di Milanowhich has been collaborating with SPS for some time for training activities and for the dissemination of the use of statistics.

“Identifying the appropriate technique for submitting one's data to statistical analysis may seem trivial and instead requires having both the objective of the analysis and the surrounding hypotheses very clear. Sometimes, either because at the time of data collection it is not certain that all the information necessary for their interpretation is available, or because the objectives of the analysis could also change during the course of the analysis itself, the choice of the method of analysis is not so discounted. It is therefore useful to review the criteria by which one can choose the analysis to use, according to the type of data one has and the objective one wants to achieve. We will show it thanks to some examples with Statistics for Data Analysis” declared the rapporteur Arianna Azzellino.

Azzellino is an expert in data, environmental and biological analysis. He has many years of experience in the field of spatial data management related to modeling and monitoring of environmental and pollution phenomena. In this way, he combined his statistical skills with experiences of analysis using geographic information systems (GIS) and the use of geostatistics for the analysis of environmental data.

🥁 SPS: Training webinars to keep up to date

SPS organizes its webinars thanks to the ideas it receives from the realities with which it collaborates, as well as from its attentive presence in the field.

SPS webinars are an important building block of acomplete training offer, which combines these panoramic moments of in-depth study in the classroom with scheduled training lasting a few days, onsite and on-the-job courses. Webinar videos are available in the SPS Video Academy, which is fully accessible to the company's customers.

SPS has decided to open its own Video Academy completely in this period, to allow interested parties to devote themselves to their training in the field of statistical analysis.
Soon it will enrich its proposal also withonline training!
