"Prediction models in Epidemiology":
SPS will talk about it during the webinar on April 7, 2020!

Today we talk a lot about epidemiology. SPS also wants to clarify the statistical analysis tools that allow epidemiologists to make predictions related to risk, thanks to the Solution powered by SPSS

Bologna, 31 March 2020 -SPS, historical protagonist

of the world of Statistical Analysis, he thought was important

donate your contribution

on the topic of data analysis in the field of epidemiology.

Objectives of the Webinar

TheApril 7that 11 is scheduled thelive webinar “Forecast models in Epidemiology”,

during which some examples offorecasting models applied to a case

of study, thanks to the use of the Statistics for Data Analysis Solution powered by SPSS.

Subjectsreference will be:

  • Logistic regression

  • Self-learning models (Neural Networks)

The two methods will be compared, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses.

Participation in the webinar on April 7 is free!

The rapporteur

The webinar will be hosted byAriadne Azzellino, professor of PMilan Polytechnicwhich has been collaborating with SPS for some time for training activities and for the dissemination of the use of statistics.

“The fundamental steps that lead to the production of knowledge starting from data are: selection of  possible sources of information, data integration, knowledge extraction. During this webinar we will focus on the extraction of knowledge in the epidemiological field, thanks to the use of forecasting models with the Statistics for Data Analysis Solution.” declared the rapporteur Arianna Azzellino.

Azzellino is an expert in data, environmental and biological analysis. He has many years of experience in the field of spatial data management related to modeling and monitoring of environmental and pollution phenomena. In this way, he combined his statistical skills with experiences of analysis using geographic information systems (GIS) and the use of geostatistics for the analysis of environmental data.

SPS: Training webinars to stay up to date

SPS organizes its webinars thanks to the ideas it receives from the realities with which it collaborates, as well as from its attentive presence in the field.

SPS webinars are an important piece of a complete training offer, which combines these panoramic moments of in-depth study in the classroom with scheduled training lasting a few days, onsite and on-the-job courses, online training. Videos from past webinars are available in the SPS Video Academy, which is fully accessible to SPS customers.

SPS has decided to open its own Video Academy completely in this period, to allow interested parties to devote themselves to their training in the field of statistical analysis.
